| Vital Forces. Images made in the Burren, Ireland utilizing local rocks and plants. Artifacts were left on photographic paper for periods of time ranging from three hours to three days. Plants withered and decomposed during the lengthy exposures. Influenced by Kirlian photography and other early forms of documenting the "aura" or "life force" of objects, as well as the way that overturning rocks on the Irish hillsides revealed discolored grass. |
